On Thursday, February 1, 2024 Lending Hearts had the privilege to honor Pittsburgh Pirates All-Star Pitcher, David Bednar, with the Lending Hearts Friend Award. David personifies the mission of Lending Hearts in all that he does. We are grateful for his involvement and support of Lending Hearts and the joy he brings to our young friends and their families.
Also during the Gala, we had the great honor of recognizing the Pavlisko family and their 8 year old daughter, Kennedy. Kennedy was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL) when she was six years old. At the Gala, we were thrilled for the Pavlikos to share Kennedy will have her last day of treatment on February 28, 2024 and ring the bell the next day!
We are extremely grateful to all our Gala sponsors, supporters, donors and guests, as well as our many wonderful volunteers. This very special would not be possible had it not been for all of them.
