What We Do...
From medical to community, everyone is needed in the fight against cancer. We welcome you to #ShareYourLendingHeart!
Services We Provide:
UP Street is an integrative pediatric oncology wellness program. The program provides various modalities of integrative oncology to help patients surviving treatment.
* Lending Hearts offers a monthly art therapy session called Art Expression. It takes place outside of the hospital setting. This small group is led by an art therapist to provide a therapeutic atmosphere for creative expression.
* Lending Hearts also hosts monthly activities that allow a larger group of families to participate together. These activities focus mainly on arts and culture, health and wellness and recreation. Activities typically take place around Pittsburgh and vary every month. Monthly Programming
The first Friday of each month, Lending Hearts provides a full and nutritious meal to all of the families in the oncology department at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. This provides comfort to families and allows them to stay by the side of their child.
HELPING THE CHILDREN
By getting involved and raising awareness, you are directly making a difference on the life of a child or young adult with cancer AND their families. Even years after treatment, support is needed. You are needed.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Twice each year, Lending Hearts hosts educational seminars with the Oncology Survivorship program at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. Topics vary for each seminar and focus on the impact of treatment on various aspects of health and wellness. Upcoming Ecuational Sessions
